Any items needing assembly are marked with a spanner.

These fall into two types. Items that are so heavy and large that it would be too difficult, or impossible, to place in a house assembled. For example Wardrobes and Beds. Items that require little assembly but fully assembled would substantially increase delivery costs both financially and environmentally.

For example:

Minimal Assembly Required - Very simple to assemble.
We do not recommend that you pay us to assemble these items.

Some Assembly Required - Takes a little longer and you may need a screw driver.
The vast majority of our customers assemble these items themselves.

Most assembly instructions are available to download from our site so you can judge for yourself if our assembly service is required.

Assembly Service

If you prefer we can assemble your items for you at a charge of £25 for the first item and £20 per item for additional pieces.

Please note that you must order a 2-man delivery with assembly and that it will take us longer to arrange.

All items are supplied with the tools required to assemble (except occasionally a screw driver). They also come with instructions. If, like me, the first thing you do is lose the instructions, we are in the process of putting all instructions on this web site.

Help and Advice

If you do have any problems at all, please phone us. We will arrange for someone from our warehouse team to ring you back and talk you through the process.

Before you begin assembly, please check that you have all the necessary parts.

Very occasionally a piece may be missing but that can be very inconvenient, so check first.

If you are lying an item on the floor to assemble it, please ensure that the floor does not have any grit on it. It is normally best to leave the item in the cardboard box as much as possible.
